Awards

Annually, NHSTA honors notable NH educators with awards at our annual conference. We also include resources to other outside organization awards available to science and STEM teachers. 

NHSTA Elementary Science Educator of the Year 

  • Serves as a Elementary Science Educator in New Hampshire grades K-6. 
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, leadership, a thoruough understanding of the subjects they teach, and the ability to integrate NH Science Standards into the classroom. 
  • Implements a variety of teaching methods that exemplifies innovation and accessibility. 

  • Engages and participates in educational collegiality and sharing within their communities. 

NHSTA Secondary Science Educator of the Year

    • Serves as a Secondary Science Educator in New Hampshire grades 7-12. 
    • Demonstrates enthusiasm, leadership, a thoruough understanding of the subjects they teach, and the ability to integrate NH Science Standards into the classroom. 
    • Implements a variety of teaching methods that exemplifies innovation and accessibility. 

    • Engages and participates in educational collegiality and sharing within their communities.

    Wagner Award


    • Recognizes outstanding individuals who have made outstanding contributions to science education which go beyond excellence in the classroom
    • Recipients must have an association with New Hampshire and their work must have a broad and lasting effect
    • Award is selected by the NHSTA board and awardee selection is based entirely upon "recognition of outstanding contributions to science education in New Hampshire.
