Our Liaisons

Michael Smith

Mike is a retired high school science teacher that now spends his work days as NH's Ag in the Classroom coordinator, helping teachers weave agricultural principles and authentic growing experiences into their curriculum.  His twenty three years in the classroom were mirrored by twenty three years of working as a farm manager during the summer breaks, making the background for his new endeavor.  When not assisting with ag ed, Mike can usually be found running, hiking or camping with any assemblage of his wife and two adult daughters.

Liaisons to the NHSTA board of directors act as conduits between schools and professional associations, and the board, informing each other of the wants and needs for professional learning. Liaisons attend board meetings, but are non voting members of the board. They assist with conferences and professional learning events put on by NHSTA., but they do not have the responsibilities associated with being a full board member. The liaison position is crucial for helping NHSTA to meet the needs of NH's science educators at all grade levels.
