Description

Come to this workshop to learn about the NH Schoolyard Partnership Program that provides small grants to schools working on improving their schoolyard outdoor spaces, pollinator gardens, and wildlife habitat areas. We will use the pollinator gardens at the NH Audubon Massabesic Center to learn how to engage with these outdoor spaces in a fun and interactive way.
Teachers will be able to confidently craft curriculum that utilizes outdoor spaces, recognize the numerous subjects that can be taught in an outdoor setting, connect schoolyard learning to NGSS, and understand how using outdoor spaces can appeal to a broader variety of learning styles. Teachers will walk away with resources to help find funding and technical support to transform their schoolyard spaces for learning opportunities.
Workshop will be held inside and outside. Please be prepared to be outside in all weather conditions. Workshop will run rain or shine.
